Rob Moesley put this video of Tyrece Gaines today. The guy is a great looking athlete, if he plays like he looks.... look out!

"I'm a receiver that loves to block" - Love hearing that.

I am surprised at how big he is. Much bigger than I expected.

Gaines is definitely a lot bigger than I thought, which is a great thing.

His size and speed will prove to be deadly by the fall. Can't wait!

I am now feeling a lot better about Chris Harper leaving.

He doesn't look that fast to me for some reason...I guess we'll see when it's in pads and real time

that same thing went through my head. I wonder if he was taking it easy. he just doesnt look as smooth as most receiver's do when they run.. wasn't his 40 in the 4.4 or 4.5 area.
I guess if that is correct i dont care what he looks like when he runs.

I didn't think that he would sound so level headed. Hopefully he is a smart kid that gets at learning the system and the playbook. It would be great if he could contribute a lot this year or even start. He also looks physically dominating. Blocking could definately be one of his strongs suits.

His reported time is 4.4, so I wouldn't worry about a summer workout video. We all no 40 times are inflated but everyone talks about his blend of size/speed. He is playing on the right side opposite Holland, so there is no reason he can't compete for the starting spot.

These are definitely not full speed/full contact drills...

Man he looks bigger than 205. He looks like a legit NFL prospect, the kind we haven't had at Oregon in a while.

I dont have a problem with calling some one a thug because I know that you don't mean it in the way most people will assume. I would watch who you say this in front of though.

Let's just call him a bruiser for compromise... He looks like he can lay the wood, as well as (Hopefully) catch the ball!

I thought he was listed at 220 and he looks the part. Everyone seems to think we are paper thin at wr but take a closer look

left wide receiver:
Holland
Embry

slot:
Maehl
Jordan

right wide receiver:
Cavaille
Davis
Gaines

Cantu said he was practicing the slot this summer but played wide in spring. LT should play out wide. I still haven't even spoken that name Diante Jackson. This is an exciting wide receiver corp even with the absence of Pflu and Harper (I would love to have him though).

Could this potentially be better than the group Oregon started 2007 with?

The talent seems to suggest so.
