Washington, Oregon and Colorado in no particular order. I am a little worried about Washington.
"I'm considering all schools right now," explained McConico. "There's no such thing as a bad school, but just top caliber schools. I'm not sure which schools I'm going to be able to visit, but all schools are worth visiting in my opinion."
However, McConico did admit that he's taken a liking to three schools in particular.
"I don't have a favorite school at the moment, but there's a few schools I'd like to visit," said McConico. "I'd like to visit Colorado, Oregon and Washington. Those three have the highest possibility [of receiving an official visit], no doubt, but there's a lot of schools I'm interested in, so there's no guarantees on which ones I'll visit."

good news i've really wanted this kid ever since i heard about him this spring... i'd love the kid from tx and lattimore as well but i dont see us getting both so if not i think mcconico will be huge. nice tweener back with good size and speed that i think would be perfect in our off.

Ya he's been one of my favorites as well...this guy can be used just like Grant...RB/Slot WR/ST.
Have we offered this guy yet?
Lets get him in for a visit.
GO DUCKS!!

Why Washington... the prospect of losing a top target like McConico to the worst team in football is nausiating.

Hmmm...are you saying that McConico has a bad attitude and is not the player who averaged 20 yards a carry last year? I'm glad we have a shot at a few more RB's but McConico looks pretty good as well.

Bad attitude really? Well that sucks! We don't need that in the locker room. I was wondering what was going on with him and his lack of attention so that explains it.
Thanks tonyD

Stats don't mean much at all to the coaching staff. The biggest downfall to recruitniks is understanding what the coaching staff is after. They don't want players coming in with character concerns who might cause trouble on or off the field and in the locker room. Why risk it when there's other players out there they have more confidence in who won't effect the chemistry of the team.
Here's what they want in a prospect- Toughness, brains, competitive drive, selfless, good character and preferably good grades. Most people, especially Duck fans EXTREMELY over-emphasize talent alone in the recruiting process.

Character is important, but very hard to recognize by the casual observer from outside the player's local area.
That is one of the tings that "insiders" get that is often not available outside the realm of the paysite, such as DuckTerritory and others who shall remain nameless.

ya, things like athleticism, vision, speed, power, and all that other crap doesn't really mean anything to coaches if the kid has questionable character lol. NOT!! (NO NEED TO GET OFFENDED IM JUST JOKING)

Not arguing with you Brich... I just think that there are character issues that can be fixed, and others that can tear a locker room apart...
And to be honest, I don't have a clue what type they may be with certain players... Hence, this is an area where wwe just have to trust for wiser heads to prevail.

I know i was just having a little fun.. We have always had great running backs there is no reason to question the coaches on this.. the J-stews of the world dont come along very often. We got spoiled with him he had every physical gift possible plus tremendous character.

True, they're also not going to go after a kid without talents needed to perform in this offense. But when it comes to talent, it's all over the place so why take a guy with questionable character when we're getting interest from someone who doesn't in the coaches eyes. I haven't heard anything negative about the character levels of Lattimore, Storm Johnson, Dontae Williams, Mike Hayes, Ethan Grant, Tevin Drake, Delino Deshields, etc. etc. etc.
