Impressive offer list: USC, Oklahoma, Florida, Penn State, Tennessee and many others....... might be hard to get this guy
3 official visits set as of right now but it sounds like now that the Ducks have offered he will take an official to Eugene, the current 3 schools are Oklahoma, Penn State and Florida (Florida is loaded at the WR position)
I like this statement from him:
"Oregon's a school I've wanted to get an offer from for a long time," said Stills. "I went to their camp and was the MVP so I thought I'd get an offer and I worked hard to get it. They were going to be one of the schools that would've been on my hit list if I played them and they hadn't offered me. But now I'm looking at them as a place I could go."
Stills said he's looking for a few specific things in the school he eventually signs with. "I like the possibility of playing as a true freshman but I'm really interested in a school that has a plan for how to use me. The relationship with the receiver coach is important, what kind of offense they're running, the relationship with the kind of guys there. And the class and who would be coming with me. Then there are academics because you can't play football forever."
The receiver also spoke about the Oregon coaching staff. "One thing about Oregon is that I've talked to Coach Kelly and that was great. There are some coaches who say, 'Hey, give this guy a call and you never hear from or meet the guy running the team. I think it's cool when you can talk to the guy running the team and know he can be there for you and there are only a few coaches out there like that."
While winning the MVP at the Oregon camp Stills says he came away impressed with everything at Oregon. "I hadn't been there before the camp. It was my second camp in a row and so I flew straight in from the other camp. I was tired and worn out and had to get up early but I enjoyed everything. We all worked hard, we got to play in the stadium and use the practice facilities. It's a great place. The only thing I'd say was negative at all was the long walk from the dorms to the stadium. That was a major walk. That was it, the only thing about the trip at all."
With three visits set, Stills said he's trying to narrow it to ten schools and pick his 5 from there. "The three I've set visits with will be in there and Oregon will be in the top ten. I want to take as much time as I can with the schools I'm still talking to though."
