How many scholarships can we give away for the 2010 class?

20-25?

If so this would be the best recruiting class we've ever had by far...

QB: Munchie, Bennett

RB: Lattimore, Williams, Grant

TE: White (or DE)

WR: Meline, McCartney, Woods, Reed

OL: Hatchie, Rowland, Grasu

DE: White (or TE), Owa, King

DT: Uko, Beachum, Heimuli

LB: ??? already very deep

CB: Mitchell, Mathis, Grimes, Hurd

S: Allen

A lot of these guys might be longshots but it appears they all have at least some interest in us. There are also some other high profile guys we have a shot at plus a ton of middle of the road guys which we have been very successful with.

15 seniors + a few guys leaving the program = the 15-20 range. I'm sure someone else could narrow it down.

But not 20-25.

As always, expect Oregon to overbook. I think we take a class of 20-21. Give or take 3 depending on the outcomes of Cliff Harris, Terrence Pritchett, and Justin Brown.

I don't think he was on scholarship though.

There's only about 11 seniors on scholarship I believe. Want an accurate number, just add scholarship'd senior plus transfers, plus non-qualifiers (Lane as one, possibly Brown and/or Harris) and there's your number.

Mike Mackie was a walk-on.

Is there a chance Terrance Pritchett will rejoin the team? I thought Chip Kelly said he won't be back.

Terrance is done. Said it himself.

The number of scholarships available for the next class currently stands at 18. That is with all the transfers factored in, Pritchett no longer a part of the team, etc. It sounds highly unlikely Justin Brown makes it in, so you can pretty much consider the number to be 19. If Cliff doesn't make it in (the coaches reportedly remain optimistic he eventually will), that would kick it up to 20. Of course, any future defections from the program will add to this total.

There is always a possibility that a walk-on could be given a scholarship as well, which would take away from the total. On the offensive side, players like Max Forer and Ramsen Golpashin will likely be in the 2-deep on the offensive line and are potential candidates for a scholarship. On the defensive side, Matt Simms and Brian Butterfield could see some game action this year and are potential candidates.

Someone on rivals said Brown won't qualify, but there's still a chance Cliff makes it (50/50).

What in the world is it going to take to recruit a DT that can actually qualify?
