Oregon, Cal, and Maryland are his finalists. Would like to commit in about a week (Wednesday night is his goal).

Should be interesting... Scales might decide too.

this should give an inkling as if any of the other NC kids could land here. If McCain goes elsewhere I dont see any of the other 3 being Ducks.

This is big. Could mean the commitment of two or three, not just one if we get McCain.

I am really worried that all/most of these guys go to Cal

Wish they would wait until after the Boise game at least.... Unless of coarse they decide on the Ducks.

If Wednesday Night is his goal, that could bode well for Oregon... Maybe he wants to get in some early chest thumping while watching thee game with his buds!

King is going to Cal if anyone is. Other than that no one is going to Cal. Period

This could really send us into a good fall of recruiting.

I am anxious for McCain to announce keeping my fingers crossed that he will sign with Oregon but given everything out there I am concerned about Cal getting him. I believe Alabama is in the running as well or maybe am thinking of one of the other NC players.

Alabama is not in the McCain's top 3 (Oregon, Cal, Maryland).

Me too...then again the people in the "know" say we shouldn't be too worried about Cal.

That's true but then again people in the "know" said Boyd and Brown were Ducks so you never really know.

Boyd committed to the coaching staff at one point so those "people in the know" weren't wrong, they just couldn't predict he'd change his mind. As for Brown, if the decision were his, that prediction would've been correct too. No way you can predict what parents will do.

And the same thing could happen again so I just assume none of them pick Oregon and when they do I will be pumped and when they don't I won't be too upset.

The "people in the know" don't really know if Boyd or Brown commited to the coaches. How do they know the coaches didn't lie?

Someone lied. Coaches, mods, player. Never heard Boyd or Brown say they commited but "changed their mind".
