Apparently, we're in it for him. He dropped Florida as his leader and we're now in contention. He would be big. Dunno if this has already been posted.
No. 5-rated defensive end Dominique Easley (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis), who previously had Florida as his leader, named new schools for ESPN affiliate Web site DuckTerritory.com.

"UCLA, Georgia, Penn St, Boston College, Oregon, Miami and a couple of others are still in it for me," Easley said.

He registered 51 tackles, 10 sacks and two fumble recoveries, both returned for touchdowns, last season.

Good news. I wonder if Brooklyn, NY native Jerry Azzinaro has a hand in this. :D

Great news! Do we know why he lost interest in Florida and who is his actual favorite?

He didn't lose interest in Florida. Florida lost interest in him. He wanted to commit to Florida and they told him to hold off.

If I had to guess, I think Penn State will become the team to beat for his services.

K thanks Vinny. Your thoughts are always really appreciated (at least by me).

No problem Tray. I forget whether this has been mentioned on this message board in the past, but Easley promised Coach Azz a long time ago that he would at least make a visit to Oregon. So, as long as he follows through on that promise, the Ducks will at least have a shot to sell him on moving across the country to play his college ball. Boston College and Penn State are the only two schools he has official visits set up with thus far.

How would it be to have the luxury of turning down top talent because you just don't have the room for them because you are overloaded with better talent. Oregon will never be in that position I just want to see Oregon get 3-5 5* guys every year. :P

Here is an update on the status of Easley. Like I mentioned previously, Penn State has become the team to beat for his services. In fact, he has committed to them.

I don't know if he still plans on visiting the Ducks, thus fulfilling his promise to Coach Azz, or not.
