Any news from Clemson? I am really nervous about his visit this week!!! I don't like the fact that it is so close to home. Anyone else out there think that Clemson may be the school to beat for us in the Boyd sweepstakes?

Boyd indeed made the visit this weekend.

anyone hear how the visits went this weekend. I was at the wake game and saw them there. Boyd was sitting near CJ which i thought was good but i didn't see much reaction from them. I guess I can't judge them on that because they are not clemson tigers yet, but It would have been fun to see them get up and excited a bit. I will say that having them at the john today was a huge plus as the atmosphere in that place was amazing.

That just sounds wrong... Oregon shows off the facilities, and all anyone can say is, Image!!!

Clemson takes 'em to the john??? wow...

Oregon is a tough challenge. Obviously, Boyd is taken with the spread offense...and the Ducks do feature the tools of their QB's. Facilities are second to none as well...helps to be the Nike proving ground for everything! LOL!

So...can Dabo and Co. convince him that Clemson's spread can be the equal of the Ducks? Also...is he willing to redshirt and rehab the knee? It's a virtual certainty that's what will happen if he goes to UO...so that shouldn't cause heartburn here.

Lastly: it's a long, long way to Eugene...at some point, wanting family to watch you play factors in...somehow.

Wishful thinking on Clemson fandom's part?

I don't know about anyone else, but I am getting REALLY giddy in anticipation of Boyd's decision. If he does choose Oregon, I'm giddy, because I see it like that as being the first big domino to fall. Yes, the Ducks got Stewart, who was a 5 star, but he was from Washington, so IMO it's not really the same as Boyd who is from Virginia. IMO, Brown will only go to Oregon if he sees Boyd is on board, and that will not only trigger a great finish to this class, for any recruits debating on whether or not to come, but think of all the 2010 recruits who will see that and realize that Oregon is on the MAP nationally with Chip Kelly at the helm. I think swaying a 5-star QB (Scout says he is) from Virginia to not only come to Eugene, but to have his family move too would do wonders for this next class because CK will most likely be the Head Coach when recruiting them. Oregon's credibility as a national recruiting powerhouse would stand to benefit immensely from a Boyd commit, as that could be the last hurdle for Bryce Brown to have the balls to "go against the grain" as Pete Carroll might say, and go to Oregon instead of where he is essentially being told by his family and advisors and forced to go, Miami.

Back to Boyd, let's just hope Clemson doesn't play the religion card (AGAIN) too hard to steal Boyd, because honestly, this late in the game, if they get him it's thievery. I mean, Oregon is on the way up, a top 10 team next year, where the hell has Clemson been, oh I don't know, the last 10 years. Why would he want to go there? In a way, I'd be more pissed if he went to Clemson than OSU, at least OSU makes sense. It has a good football team that doesn't waste all of it's talent. Boyd going to Clemson is just dumb, and I would hate Clemson forever for getting McNeal and Boyd, which means not getting Brown as a result. Realistically.

That 'T' on his hat looks a lot like Tennessee's logo. Although I think the T really just stands for Tajh.

That is indeed a Volunteer hat Boyd is wearing...

Zephyr Tennessee Volunteers Black Fadeout Fitted Hat
$19.95

Maybe Boyd was making a conscious effort not to tip his hand before comitting by wearing the hat of a school he has already eliminated?

Then again, maybe he just didn't wan to bug the nice folks he was visiting...

The "T" has to stand for "Tigers". As in the Clemson Tigers. Wearing a Vols hat to Clemson would be insulting, and confusing.

But it doesn't look like their T at all... It looks nearly identical to Tennessee's "T".

Doesn't Texas have a "T" that looks like that? maybe he's gonna surprise everyone and go there

That jacket that he is wearing... Does he get to keep that or does he have to give it back after the trip?
