Let's recruit players like this!
What a story. This high school football player tackled a girl who had a loaded gun on his school bus. He potentially saved the lives of 22 kids. What a contrast to the situation with Blount...

doing the math, 74 or 75 players acted quite normal last night.

you think Blount wouldn't tackle a girl on a bus to save a bunch of kids just because he punched some one in the face that was running his mouth and pushed him first.
his emotions got the best of him. he will be punished, doesn't mean he is evil. I find it hard to believe that nobody here has ever been in a fight or some kind of altercation. Sometimes you mess up and then you pay the price. Its not like he got drunk and drove then killed a family or went on a shooting rampage.
Lets not crucify the guy because he is human he messed up and will pay for it.

Blount and the Ducks played terrible and Blount was upset with that and the Boise player bumped him and said something that pushed him over the edge and he reacted. What Blount did was wrong but it doesn't mean he is a thug or a bad person.

Ummm, it kinda does. He punched a guy in the HEAD. Yeah, he might of been provoked, but it shouldn't matter... If his reaction wasn't thug-like then what is?!? Seriously, I want to know. Did you see the way he reacted after the punch? Backing up with his fists clenched, looked like he was ready for more... Id bet 99% of the population would consider what he did thuggish... come on now.gofightingducks wrote:What Blount did was wrong but it doesn't mean he is a thug or a bad person.

I can admit to breaking a couple noses when I was growing up, but I defy you to find anybody who thinks that made me a thug.
To call a single incident evidence of the overall character of anyone is ridiculous.

But in a way... he's kinda smarter than everyone else who has ever punched a guy in the helmet.uodux1212 wrote:Ummm, it kinda does. He punched a guy in the HEAD. Ya I disagree as well what he did was stupid and out of control but I wouldn't classify him as a thug but it does show that 5 minutes can change your life...and I feel bad for the guy I just hope he still gets his shot at the NFL!uodux1212 wrote:Ummm, it kinda does. What would you expect a nonthug to do after they punch someone? Turn around and pick a flower?
I would expect that person to maybe fight back and I would be ready for it with my fists clenched. And if I didn't really want to get in a fight with everyone around there I would back up. What would you do? (Assuming you threw a punch of course.)

I sure as heck wouldn't turn my back and run... I want to see the pain coming.
I might get the chance to dodge or duck!
