Because of such media exposure... Lots of opinions out there from places besides Eugene.... A few I've read:
"That ended the kids college career ? That's ridiculous. The kid was walking away and that punk started talking s*** to him. I'd suspend my kid if he didn't punch him. They say he went after a fan, I'd have to see that, if he hit a fan, OK, otherwise a total overreaction.
Chip Kelly gonna have a short fucking tenure. He will lose his team over ending a kids career. They say he can still practice, for what ? The NFL. Total silliness Should have been 1 game at the most."

"Yea he did try to go after several fans a few minutes after the punch occurred. He was held back by teammates obv and the cameras caught that much too - even heard on ESPN that he was still trying to punch people back in the locker rooms? Major tilt job over a little s*** talking. I think a full season suspension isn't too out of the question....might've been a different story if he just punched the dude and left it at that - but then he went after even more people afterwards. Who knows though. Epicly retarded move by a 'back who had some serious potential in the draft next year."
