Actually I see it as mostly just inane banter but most youth are preternaturally drawn towards it so it has become a must.

Makes no difference to me what coaches do or don't do via social media, but if they get some recruits to Oregon. More power to em

Stylistically theses read like Donald Trump's tweets.

The new WR coach Dougherty's tweets are stylistically more Millennial.

Glad I wasn't the only one getting a Trump vibe from these. It's cool the coaches are more open with the public, but it's really just all fluff designed to get and keep people excited with almost zero actual info.

Except he's a football coach trying to drum up interest in his program and get people excited about playing for him...not the freaking leader of the free world.

In terms of no actual info, what do you expect him to say? He can't exactly say "congrats to Trajon Cotton for committing to the U of O" and commit numerous NCAA infractions along the way. You'll probably get stuff like Taggart's tweet the night before Graham committed, referencing a commit but as a veiled way to give legit info.

Like what's already been said, it's an NCAA violation if he says anything more.

He is getting himself a nice defensive class to work with on very short notice. I'm sure he is as stoked as us.
