McCain will be doing his live commit next thursday around 3. At that time he will be choosing Oregon. He will be the only one declaring. James Scales or Gabe King won't be doing it.

I am sure that the university / coaching staff is in full blown damage control with the potential recruits and their parents. I think that the school handled it very well, so I don't expect a huge fallout with recruiting. Our performance on the field on the other hand.......

Thanks for the info. Based on the time of the announcement I assume it will be at his school. Since I believe he attends a different high school than either Scales or King it is not surprising they aren't involved.

They all attend the same high school, North Guilford. It could just be that the others haven't made up their mind and I don't think that Scales has a scholarship offer yet (don't hold me to that.)

Not so sure about that. Scout and Rivals show him at North Guiliford while ESPN lists Central Carolina Sports Academy. Also about a week ago a Fayetteville, NC prep sports blog said he had transferred. Central Carolina Sports Academy doesn't have their roster available online yet.

Sports Academy? That doesn't sound like a High School to me.

He transferred becuase he needed to make up some credits. So he isn't playing at Northern Guilfford, but still quite in touch with childhood friends over there. Chris is a helluva player. Great get.

I was looking at Rivals so it looks like they need to update their info.

I believe I read somewhere that North Guiliford changed the way they give out credits. It would have left him one credit short, so he trasferred to another school.

McCain goes to a prep school because he needs to make up credits to graduate. Nothing serious. Duck fans will be ok.
