5 schools he plans on visiting: Kansas, North Carolina, Kentucky, UCLA, and Oregon

"Distance really isn't going to play into my decision."
"It really comes down to the place that I feel the most comfortable with and where will make me happy wherever I'm going. Where I can grow the most and become the best football player I can and it doesn't matter how far away that place is."

"Oregon is a good team and they've got a lot of style. I like what they do with Nike and all that. They've got some down to earth coaches too like Coach Kelly. There's some coaches I could name that don't have much personality but he's not one of them. Oregon also has big plans for me and I think that really fits what I'm able to do. I've heard good stuff about what they do with their defensive ends and the way they play an attacking style. I would like to be able to go out there and fly around. I basically like just about everything about Oregon and I'm glad they are recruiting me."

"and the way they play an attacking style"

I see so many people say this about our defense. Is it my own jaded eyes that won't let me see it on the field? An attacking defense is the opposite of our "bend but don't break" style, isn't it?

I somewhat agree with you on this one. It's no secret it's called "Bend and pray don't break" sometimes but our defense tends to attack quite a bit when compared to the likes of UW last year, WSU or even Fresno State. I think any positive thing that a defensive recruit can say about our defense, though, is a godsend.

yes it is. we blitzed 3 or 4 times in the first 2 series vs. BSU. remember Ok. St.'s first TD in the Holiday Bowl last year? We blitzed on that play. Blitzing isn't the answer to everything.

edit: and in the future, could some of you please respect the other team's talent? I'm constantly amazed when people get pissed when the other team scores. "OH MY GOD!" "How could they let that guy get a TD?!!!!".....uh...because he's good and the qb threw a great pass that only the wr could catch and the OL blocked us from tackling the qb and the rb picked up a cb blitz....that's how they scored that TD. thanks.
