The 2017 recruiting class is in. But we'll have to wait years to properly evaluate them. There are a lot of reasons to be excited for the future when we look at the this class, and fewer reasons to harbor some disappointment.
Lenoir is a future NFL CB on paper, and others might appear to have a long road ahead to contributing on the field, but we won't know until they suit up and play.
Let's take a break from the 2017 class for a moment, and look back on the class of 2013.
As they enter their final year, these players have shown their mettle. Let's see how they stack up in hindsight.
Class of 2013

This class heads into its final year with only 11 players remaining on the team after transfers, dismissals, retirements and graduations.
Of the players that have moved on, only LB Joe Walker, WR Devon Allen and RB Thomas Tyner could have been said to be difference-makers.
Despite potential, many players left the team due to behavioral problems or injuries.
Only WR Darren Carrington and OL Cameron Hunt could be said to be major contributors to the team. Both have been integral to Oregon's success in prior seasons, starting since their freshmen years.
Verdict:
This class looked great on paper. #19 overall and #4 in the conference. However, with only two significant contributors, only one veritable NFL prospect, and a handful of role players, this class turned out to be a bust.
I'd give them a grade of C-
