He's supposed to make his commitment announcement at the US Army All-American Game on January 6th after taking all his official visits but I have a feeling he'll likely do a silent commitment to reserve his spot due to how fast the class is filling up.Ducks10 wrote:Pretty confident he'll be a Duck, but he's gonna stretch it out (his recruiting process). Not a problem, kid only gets to do this once.

They probably think they have a legit shot because we are filling up at WR and he is waiting to take all of his visits before he decides.StreeterCL wrote:Nebraska offered, and he's been retweeting them. Is this standard for him? Their board also seems to think they have a legit shot.
I can't imagine him leaving home!
Well, I mean he IS body catching that ball in his pictureDmoneyDuck wrote:Honest question for those who follow recruiting (I've never seen any tape on him, so I have no idea if the hype is real):
Do we want Chase Cota because he's an instate kid who also happens to be a legacy and a 4* talent?
OR
Do we want Chase Cota because he truly would be one of the top five-six options we could sign at the position on signing day?
I only ask because it seems like the class, and the position, is filling up quickly and, from all reports, he wants to take his visits and enjoy the process. So, do we wait and hold a spot and risk the chance of turning away a better player from another state or do we fill up the position with the best talent available regardless of home base?
I haven't watched any film of his(I only watch video of commits after signing day, makes recruiting much more palatable) but he is a consensus top 100 recruit on all of the sites. I think if he were from say Nevada and not a legacy that we would be equally as interested. Just ratings wise, he is above: Tre'Shaun Harrison, Warren Thompson and Miles Battle.DmoneyDuck wrote:Honest question for those who follow recruiting (I've never seen any tape on him, so I have no idea if the hype is real):
