Troy Brown has agreed to a 2-year deal with Minnesota.
Dillon Brooks has agreed to a 4-year, $80M deal with Houston.

Glad Brooks got a decent payday after being scapegoated by the Grizzlies. As a veteran who plays hard on defense he should fit well into what the Rockets are building.

Huh? Besides Phoenix trading away Payne to them, I'm not sure I see the connection with the Bol Bol signing.nogerO wrote:Wow! Pop’s gonna win a few big trophies with what they’re building in San Antone!greenyellow wrote:

Man, is Dillon Brooks ever getting some revenge on all the talking heads who said his career was over after Memphis let him go. First he signs that $80 million contract, and now he goes off for 39 pts to bounce the US team from the medal podium.

Memphis definitely screwed over Brooks, I know he didn’t help himself with his reputation in the NBA but they made him thr “bad guy” then acted like they never wanted that and ditched him. Poor from from the Grizzlies. They better worry for when they play the Rockets.
Also good to see his offensive game come back, he actually is a skilled offensive player and Memphis kinda took that away from him.

Brooks has a shot to be the All time greatest Duck in the NBA.

he also won the defense player of the tournament, on NBA today they were praising him so much which was nice to hear after all the talk after the grizzles was last year in the playoffs.

I really don't get this contract. I know they told him his role will expand, but they said that last year too, and it shrunk instead. Hope it works out for him; I love it when any Duck makes it to a second contract. I assume Portland had no interest, but I thought he would make a great backup to Scoot here.greenyellow wrote:Pritchard has signed a nice extension with Boston.

Re: Ex-Ducks NBA Status
They got rid of Smart and Brogdon ahead of him while only bringing in Holiday so he's now the de facto 3rd guard. In the games he did start at the end of the season, he was averaging double digits and had a triple double in one of them. He's good, cheap option for them with all the other expensive players around him.
