So it looks like Oregon's plan to do 3 recruiting classes at a time is paying off as the 2020 class has its first commit, GA WR Donnovan Moorer.

Nemec has an article about a teammate of Moorer, a rb who says Oregon is his leader right now. He's planning to come for the civil war with his mom, and says he might commit then if it feels right.

Asked directly if Oregon was his leader, Friday didn't hesitate.

"Yes, sir," he said. "For sure."

That interest could grow even more serious, as the Georgia product scheduled an unofficial visit to Oregon State game, and will be bringing his mom on the trip.

"I want to see the culture - how the team is walking around the facilities and how the team is banded together," he said. "I want to see how I feel on campus, if I'm comfortable and make sure my mom likes it. It's important my mom likes it and how she feels."

In truth, Friday indicated he could commit with a strong visit to Eugene.

"I could see that, for sure," he said. "For sure."

He’s a sophomore in HS. He’s got 3 off seasons to fill out for college. I wouldn’t worry about this too much.

Oregon has lost its only 2020 commit as Donnovon Moorer has decommitted. Kinda had a feeling this wouldn't stick throughout the remainder of his HS career.

A while ago I hinted that I made a commitment drawing for a highly ranked 2020 prospect. I can share who it is now, as it won't be happening any longer. 4-star Louisiana WR Jacobi Bellazin (https://247sports.com/Player/Jacobi-Bellazin-46040088/) was arrested and charged with rape. I think the Oregon staff had cooled on him, that's why he was holding back on announcing. Now he can commit to the Louisiana State Pen.

Looks like we dodged another bullet.

The Nike Opening was in Florida this past weekend.

DB Avantae Williams, of Deland had yet another impressive performance. Williams is listed as a safety on many websites, but he showed the ability to cover receivers like a cornerback. Williams is an explosive player. He is committed to Oregon, though Florida, LSU, and many other schools are trying for the flip. It has traditionally been tough for Oregon to hold on to the commitments of players from Florida.
