Re: Isaiah Bolden "I need answers
Candidly, I am tired of guys like Prehm asking people who are wanting answers if they have ever changed / interviewed for jobs. It shows me how naive he is to the real world. The Duck family has a right to know whether he is committed or not. If he is not, fine. Move on. The longer he waits, the more it hurts the ducks. The team that gave him a shot at a Power 5 job. He is losing me (I will only speak for myself) as a fan for his evasive non committal answers. They are shallow and lame. He is waiting for an offer and that is obvious. He is now hurting the team because they cannot look elsewhere for a new coach to sell to recruits. It's as if he only cares about himself. (which, I now believe WT only cares about). This situation has turned a once humble, hard driving, great recruiter into a narcissistic egotist. He sold commitment, ownership and responsibility for one year. He sold playing for each other and TEAM for one year and ironically now focuses on ME.
Look, I get it. You can't accept a job that has not been offered. It hasn't been offered because his "super" agent is negotiating all HIS demands. So, WT is waiting. Waiting for what's best for HIM. He won't say he's going because he wants to save his last piece of dignity with the Oregon fanbase. If he says he staying and then goes, he's a liar. So, this is what we get... A ME focused coach who is looking out exclusively for his own interests. I am glad we gave him a shot, because we've created a disloyal monster.

Re: Isaiah Bolden "I need answers
For me its EASY. I just ask that WT " say something!!" If he's listening to an offer from FSU " say it! " First, I WANT WT too stay at Oregon . . . BUT I only want him too stay IF WT wants too stay at Oregon, and not just stay for the $$money. Yes, he deserves a raise and should be paid, his recruiting along with our other coaches will take this program to the next level in years too come. BUT . .. if his dream job is FSU ... then go. Give the DUCKS your respect and let us go to a coaching search ASAP!! We will take a huge hit in recruiting, but I want a coach who WANTS to be here 100%. I hope its Willie Taggert, but if not let us know now so OREGON can start a coaching search. I like all our assistants ... hopefully some will stay if WT leaves.

^^NO, he has only shown he is as good as the talent he brought in and is unable to coach kids up. We already had that with Helfrich.

The fact recruits are as clueless as we are IMO points to WT headed out. If WT knew he was gonna stay, he'd be clearly communicating to all these guys to be assured.

Or he's honest and saying he's listening and won't promise anything he doesn't know for sure.UOducksTK1 wrote:The fact recruits are as clueless as we are IMO points to WT headed out. If WT knew he was gonna stay, he'd be clearly communicating to all these guys to be assured.

Or he is in the middle of a negotiation and isn't in a position to say anything one way or the other yet?UOducksTK1 wrote:The fact recruits are as clueless as we are IMO points to WT headed out. If WT knew he was gonna stay, he'd be clearly communicating to all these guys to be assured.

Just go to ScoopDuck and see what JHop wrote about Tyler Shough visit. Shough is quoted as saying "He's not sure what he's going to do as far as his career though. He is going to see what they (FSU) have to say, but I believe he will stay".

Re: Isaiah Bolden "I need answers
Last staff had literal combined decades at UO under their belts and they got canned by the AD as soon as they had a losing record to justify it. WT putting WT first is absolutely what he should be doing, loyalty is meaningless in this era of college football.jimmy12 wrote:Candidly, I am tired of guys like Prehm asking people who are wanting answers if they have ever changed / interviewed for jobs. I think I believe someone on like CBS Sports or ESPN pointed out that like 75% of FBS coaches have been at their school 5 years or less. That means coaches are constantly moving around so fans and recruits need to get used to the constant coaching carousel. Just look at the Pac-12. The longest tenured coach is Utah's Kyle Whittingham at 13 years. The next closest is David Shaw with 7 years and then RichRod and Mike Leach at 6 years.

RR is already out, and Leach could easily be headed to more lugubrious climes, although, given the location of Wazzu, that may be difficult.

RR is still at Arizona. Wonder if you're thinking of Graham at ASU.woundedknees wrote:RR is already out, and Leach could easily be headed to more lugubrious climes, although, given the location of Wazzu, that may be difficult.
