He moved back to New York. Shame, as he was a top-60 type of player. That's why you can't get too excited about a freshman in high school committing.

That sucks. Seems none of the commits Oregon has gotten past any current recruiting year have ever stuck all the way to their respective signing day. Don't think this will be a big issue since I'm sure Oregon will find some adequate replacements if they continue progressing on the field like they have.

While disappointing, it's not surprising. I think it would be the very rare teenager who at 15 or 16 y/o knows exactly how they will feel and think two years later.

When I saw his first tweet about being "1000%" committed, it made his commitment more tenuous in my mind. Sometimes I wonder if hyperbole isn't more of trying to "talk yourself into something" rather than actually be an indication of a commitment that is 10 times stronger than 100%.

Sure. It would have been great if he had stuck with Oregon for years. But, if Oregon is at the level we expect it to be in his actual recruiting cycle, why couldn't he sign with the Ducks then?
