“The very first time I visited Oregon, I knew it was the place for me,” Poti said. “The coaches kept it real with me and there was nothing scripted. It was all real talk and coach Joe (Salave’a) was very up front and honest with me.
“He said the best players are going to play and didn’t guarantee me anything. He told me just like how I’ll get a shot to play right away, if I become a Duck, he’s going to keep recruiting players to beat me out because he wants the best and I like that.
“I thrive on competition so I loved hearing that. He’s going to push me and challenge me every day to get better. I think he’s the best DL coach in the nation and I know he’ll get the most out of me.”
I really like the sound of him. Sounds like he's got the right attitude to succeed.

He was out of all of last year with an injury so the fact that he still had bigtime programs after him says a lot.
