Re: Saturday Night Live Visitor List
Dang, that is an impressive list. Isaiah Rutherford is definitely someone we can use with other CB prospects going off the board. 247 released their updated Top247 today, and Giles Jackson shot way up the rankings to #208 overall.
Pretty interesting that Leonard Manuel is visiting, top WR in the 2020 class. Just getting guys like that on campus makes a statement.
I think we should also be on quack alert for Elijah Blades.

Manuel is the most intriguing prospect on the list.

Figured we should have a stickied official thread for this recruiting event so this is probably a good one to build off.

Also, per Prehm, a major disappointment for the coaching staff was that none of St. John Bosco HS' players will be showing up because they will have started fall camp.

Don't see any of the Mater Dei 2020 players attending either. Got to continue keeping that MD pipeline running hot!greenyellow wrote:Also, per Prehm, a major disappointment for the coaching staff was that none of St. John Bosco HS' players will be showing up because they will have started fall camp.

According to Nemec, Jacob Bandes is also trying to make it: https://www.oregonlive.com/recruiting/i ... _dt_c.html
I hadn't even heard of the kid until I looked at The Opening finals roster a few weeks ago, and since then he's exploded with that DL MVP and a huge move up in the rankings. We already have two DTs, but you can never have too many big guys especially if any are capable of playing the big DE spot like Austin Faoliu. Interesting Top-8 for Bandes, includes schools like Illinois and Purdue.
Interested to see if we can get any of the in-state 2020 kids down for the event. Lakeridge RB Jalen John is a stud. Central Catholic WR Silas Starr has been a top flight prospect since his freshman year. Max Lenzy is supposed to have an even higher ceiling than Braden. There is a dual threat QB from Jefferson HS that transferred to Clackamas that is a legitimate Pac-12 prospect. I think he's going to be a huge riser now that he's at one of the state's top programs.

Re: Saturday Night Live Recruiting Event (July 28)
The state is definitely starting to produce some more high-level recruits. Part of it is better HS coaching and part of it is the rise of 7v7 tournaments, where in-state talent plays against top-flight talent.

4* 2019 WR Jameson Williams is the latest recruit to say he's attending the SNL event.

Not a lot of defensive players coming! (especially since Bosco players won't be there). At least I think that's what i've heard.

Man lots of big names. This camp is a great idea btw. Getting so many young guys early to visit the school closely is so big. It'll pay dividends for future classes.
