UW loses 5* LB Kaho, may be looking at Oregon

In a bit of surprising news, UW is likely going to release former 5* 2018 LB Brandon Ale Kaho from his scholarship so he can attend to some personal issues. He couldn't participate in summer drills with the team due to needing to complete one final HS class. When he did get up there, his aunt and uncle died in July. On top of that, his parents are going through a divorce. He apparently lost 20 pounds while up in Seattle and the family was really concerned for his physical and mental well-being.

Edit: Interesting little sidenote is that Kaho's most recent follow on Twitter is UO OLB coach Cort Dennison and one of Dennison's most recent is Kaho.

But would he be willing/possibly needing a year off? Did the Ducks recruit him hard? Were they in the mix at the time?

Going through a tough time and his family is worried. Sounds like Oregon is closer to home than uw

Obviously any time the Ducks can beat out the Huskies in anything we should take glee....but it would be a bit hard to gloat over this guy considering how rough his family situation has been recently.

Someone pointed out on Twitter that both Oregon and BYU (schools said to be after him) are both closer to Reno than Seattle. Not sure what his future plans or where his head is at so kinda hard to know where he's leaning.

My app says 7hrs 6min from Reno to Eugene. 7hrs 28 mins from Reno to Provo. 11hrs 28mins from Reno to Seattle. 3hrs 17 mins from Reno to Berkeley.
