Makes me wonder why they took Capra then?greenyellow wrote:And with his commitment, the Ducks are now likely done recruiting OL for this class. Only other one they sound willing to accept is Logan Sagopolu because he's taking his LDS mission out of HS so won't need a scholarship for a couple seasons.
I'm sorry, but that statement is just stupid. Do you seriously believe 247 (or whatever ranking service) is the ultimate arbiter of OL talent, the most difficult position group to rank?Duckenstein wrote:Makes me wonder why they took Capra then?greenyellow wrote:And with his commitment, the Ducks are now likely done recruiting OL for this class. Sure, Maybe they like him but there are better players
They need a center in this class and he's one of the top ones on the West Coast this year.Duckenstein wrote:Makes me wonder why they took Capra then?greenyellow wrote:And with his commitment, the Ducks are now likely done recruiting OL for this class. Well, the coaches apparently like what they are seeing out of his brother (considering he is a projected starter), and many view Joey as a better prospect (based on film). I would much rather error on the side of offering brothers and other legacy recruits that appear to be Pac-12 level players, rather than completely dropping the ball like they did with Colin Schooler.Duckenstein wrote:Makes me wonder why they took Capra then?

No, but I've seen a few people say they aren't impressedmaxduck wrote:I'm sorry, but that statement is just stupid. I have no inside information, but it seems as though Capra got his offer after Grant Trieber committed to Iowa State. So Capra was seemingly the backup plan.Duckenstein wrote:Makes me wonder why they took Capra then?greenyellow wrote:And with his commitment, the Ducks are now likely done recruiting OL for this class. I don't think anyone is stuck on him. If Cristobal loves Capra that's good enough for mebuckmarkduck wrote:We just landed the top tackle.on the west coast, why are people stuck on Capra?
