Visitors for Stanford

Post by greenyellow »

According to 247 Sports, these are the known 2019 visitors:
4* CB Isaiah Rutherford
3* DE Bralen Trice
4* DE Laiatu Latu
4* Jameson Williams

I'm sure they'll be hosting some others since this is a marquee game and the first one with a full student section.

Jared Casey, Trent McDuffie, and DJ U are supposed to be visiting, too.

Should be a big weekend considering how few spots are left.

Also interesting how a couple guys have Oregon/Stanford at their top.

If we don't have space, then all the better. Scarcity = value. Tell them to commit if they sill want their spot. I think Latu, Jameson Williams, Rutherford, and McDuffie are must takes if we can get them. Maybe the same for Trice and Casey.

We need another CB, a DE, and a LB. WR is kind of a luxury, but a player like Jameson Williams is hard to say no to.

I really like Trent McDuffie. We haven't had a really physical CB since Ifo.

Jameson Williams tweeted that he's no longer taking this official visit to Oregon.

Trice? Any relation to Eric Trice? All I remember is that dude absolutely blowing dudes up in The Smoker (boxing tournament) in the early 90s.
That was awesome to watch.

Which would you rather be, a preferred walk on at Oregon or a scholarship athlete at a DII or Group of 5 school?

I bet his dad can afford the out-of-state tuition. I bet the royalties from soccer moms who stream Hey Ya alone keep Big Boi in bread.

That would be a really cool thing, adds some star power at the games. Lots of 90s/early 2000s rappers have had kids playing college football lately.

Nate Dogg: Naijiel Hale. 4-star DB that went to Washington, wound up transferring to Montana State and was arrested on drug charges last year.

Warren G: Olaijah Griffin. 5-star CO 2018 DB that is at USC. We tried to recruit him hard, but he was always going to SC. Funny how the dudes on Regulators produced 9 stars worth of DBs.

Snoop Dogg: Calvin Broadous. 4-star WR we recruited for a while and wound up at UCLA. He quit shortly into fall camp to purse his career as an underwear designer.

P Diddy: Justin Combs. Walk on at UCLA. His dad famously threw a kettle bell at one of UCLA's assistants.
