I suspect it's because the author doesn't feel that TEs get the same NFL draft love as other positions get.AshlandDuck wrote:Reading his 247 profile made me laugh. They have him at 15 in the country but in their blurb they say his upside is that of a 2nd rounder. If he's top 15 as a TE, don't you think that means he has the upside of a 1st rounder? Or is the assumption that he won't get better relative to his peers? If so, why would that be? Or it just doesn't make sense.
Then why rank him as #15 now?UofDuck wrote:I suspect it's because the author doesn't feel that TEs get the same NFL draft love as other positions get.AshlandDuck wrote:Reading his 247 profile made me laugh. TE could have more value in college football than NFL.StevensTechU wrote:Then why rank him as #15 now?UofDuck wrote:I suspect it's because the author doesn't feel that TEs get the same NFL draft love as other positions get.AshlandDuck wrote:Reading his 247 profile made me laugh. Well that's just not true. Aside from Jace Amaro and Iowa, tight ends are a lost art in college football and have much, much more value in the NFL.UOducksTK1 wrote:TE could have more value in college football than NFL.StevensTechU wrote:Then why rank him as #15 now?UofDuck wrote:I suspect it's because the author doesn't feel that TEs get the same NFL draft love as other positions get.AshlandDuck wrote:Reading his 247 profile made me laugh. Ranking college talent does not always translate to NFL draft picks, e.g Heisman winners are not NFL locks.StevensTechU wrote:Then why rank him as #15 now?UofDuck wrote:I suspect it's because the author doesn't feel that TEs get the same NFL draft love as other positions get.AshlandDuck wrote:Reading his 247 profile made me laugh.
