Sounds like worst case scenario sounds like he would be an early enrollee for 2021.

Maturation, largely physical, is a bigger deal in football than basketball. This isn't necessarily a great idea.

Eh, if he wants to do it we can use another speedster like him. Redd will be a senior and Dollars, like all freshmen, is somewhat of an unknown commodity.

Seven has been an interesting case. Commit, change me his mind, re-commit. Play at Narbonne, go back to New York, back to Narbonne, and now back in New York.

He has been unreal in every setting, and is starting to look like a grown man. If he can get in early then all the power to him, finishing high school in three years while balancing being a top recruit is an accomplishment. Patrick Chung enrolled at 16, which is amazing to me.

^ Mariota was 17 when he got here too(18 when he first played). That turned out ok.

Dude is a physical specimen already. I would rather have him at UO with less attrition on his body if he is playing RB currently. Would he be strictly a RB here, or more in the slot? Mamba type player? Has the same type of burst.

If this means that he can be an early entry next season and get practices in December, then am for it. Otherwise, I am with STU.

I think this also limits the chances that he starts looking elsewhere. It does seem like there is a lot of pull to the East Coast for him.

Penei is still 18. He played most of last year at 17, crazy to think a kid was pushing around guys that are in the NFL now.

Y'all are forgetting the great Pat Chung was only 16 when he got to Oregon.

McGee is on the small side of his position at 180lbs, but plenty of guys play at that weight, and he'll surely add a few more pounds over the next year.

To be clear- I'm not saying if he wants to enroll a year early that Oregon shouldn't want him. I'm actually saying that for Seven McGee, he may be better off waiting for his body to mature more and entering college when he's 18. I'm thinking through the lense of 'if he was my kid.'

I agree you would need to be a real physical freak to play that early

Based on rules set forth by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA), Section V Football has denied East High School student athlete Seven McGee the right to play football this season, according to East Superintendent Dr. Shaun Nelms.

At least he can focus on school work and get reclassified

Wow, that is messed up. Let the kid play!

If they are going to hold him out for 2019, he should immediately transfer to high school in Eugene and finish up school as quickly as possible.
