As an FYI the cheap seats are going for almost $300 a pop now for the upper corners. Price may fluctuate, but damn - this is probably the biggest non-con home game in our history.

I would think it only really compares to Michigan or Oklahoma in hype.

Sideline prices are now closing in on $1,000 a pop. Average price is closing in on $500.

That’s a big difference. You have a rich fan base if there is activity at those levels

The NDSU game $300 for 50 yd line avg price about $200. NDSU fans can’t afford the Ohio State prices so I doubt those tickets will see Buckeye prices.

Tickets don't go on sale until June, don't they?

Unless you're a season ticket holder, ya.

That's a legit fear of mine. Obviously Oregon is more talented and should beat NDSU but these are college kids and this will be NDSU's Super Bowl while Oregon's biggest game is the following week. Hopefully these players focus on both games as much as possible.

This could be an advantage for the Ducks though. A typical opening game opponent, go in, win 56-10 walk through, wouldn't give the Ducks anything. But a tough first game, where they really had to focus, make plays to win, I think, would be the best prep for next week.

I wouldn’t think so its still THE Ohio State. It’s still the big game. Maybe bigger than ever and more important because of the loss.

FoxBet has Ohio St -2.5 at Oregon. Nothing on 5 Dimes except Oregon is +5000 to win national championship, Ohio State +300.

The GAM has Ohio State -11.

I personally believe the game will be closer than the 2015 natty, and there's a pretty good chance Oregon wins if they manage to stomp North Dakota State and get prepared for Ohio State, also I didn't know the majority of Ohio State fans aren't that toxic, but I have seen a discussion between a toxic Ohio State named Silver Bullet and a toxic Oregon fan named The Water God in some Oregon vs Ohio State videos, TWG always says stuff such as "Oregon should always win against Ohio State" and Silver Bullet always says bad things to Duck fans even though they didn't do anything to them, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H23kOw-oW0o Here's proof (go to the "Saddest Game Ever..." comment and you'll see one of the discussions).

Anyways I think the defense will give OSU some problems but in the end I believe it will be a super close game with Oregon BARELY winning

Big game getting some national press:

Ranking college football's best September nonconference games of 2020:

1. Ohio State at Oregon (Sept. 12)

This might be the only guaranteed top-10 nonconference matchup in September. Second-year coach Ryan Day will lead the Buckeyes on the road in what will be a massive early-season piece of the Playoff puzzle (not to mention a rematch of the 2015 Playoff championship game). For Mario Cristobal, this game — sandwiched between nonconference opponents North Dakota State and Hawaii — is a chance to prove the Ducks belong.

Ohio State got a grad transfer from Oklahoma RB Trey Sermon. Dangerous back, 2000 career rushing yards at over 6 YPC. Talked to him and made him some edits when he was in HS. He loved Oregon then committed to OU out of nowhere.

RB was going to be one of the few unproven spots for Ohio State as JK Dobbins left and one of their presumed starters has some injury issues.
