Oregon 3 Tulsa 2. The Ducks scattered 6 hits in the first 4 innings without scoring, but an Allee Bunker double brought Terra McGowan home after she had singled and sent Rachel Cid to 3rd after her walk. Ariel Carlson reached on a fielder's choice, Deijah Pangilinan flied out, scoring Cid, and Shaye Bowden's single sent Bunker home with the 3rd run.
Tulsa's leadoff hitter in the bottom of the 5th singled and ended up at 3rd after consecutive passed balls, the next batter hit a home run, making it 3-2 Oregon. Jordan Dail comes in to pitch for Samaria Diaz, struck out her first batter, and the next, and Tulsa's inning is shut with a ground out to short.
Haley Cruse gets a double with one out in the 6th, McGowan's ground out advances Cruse to 3rd. A Cid fly ball to center ends the inning. Dail gets another K with leadoff hitter in the bottom of the 6th, a Tulsa double breaks the mood, next batter pops up, and the next ends the inning with a ground out.
Bunker fouls out to start the top of the 7th. An error gets Carlson to second base, Deijah Pangilinan strikes out, Bowden singles, Carlson is stopped at 3rd. Maddie Hopper pinch hits for Hannah Galey, and strikes out. Oregon leads 3-2, bottom of the 7th coming up.
Lead off hitter flies to center, so does the next batter, and the next flies out to left as Dail shuts the door. Ducks got 11 hits in this one, and left 11 on base.

Tulsa is a respectable team. They are ranked like 35th.

Louisville 4 Oregon 3. Brooke Yanez struck out the first Cardinal, walked the second, then proceeded to strike out the next two. Yanez skips the walk in the second, 6 straight K's. Unfortunately, Rachel's Cid single in the first, accounts for Oregon's only base runner so far. 7 K's in a row. The Cards get a hit, then a two run homer, Louisville leads, 2-0. Next batter tries to bunt her way on, but is thrown out. A ground out ends the inning.
Mya Felder starts off the bottom of the 3rd with a single up the middle. Sac bunt by Jasmine Sievers gets Hannah Galey, who came in to run for Felder, to second. Cruse & McGowan ground out.
No runs for the Cards in the top of the 4th. Cid starts the bottom with a fly out, Allee Bunker works her way on with a walk, Carlson doubles Bunker home. Deijah Pangilinan lines a shot to the 2b, who snares it and tags out Carlson to end the inning.
Samaria Diaz comes in to pitch for the Ducks, gives up a single to her first batter. The Cardinal who hit the homer is up next and lines into a double play. Diaz gets the 3ed out with a K.
Galey & Sievers went down for the Ducks in the 5th, Cruse singled and scored on Terra McGowan's double to tie the score at 2-2. Cid singles in McGowan and the Ducks take the lead, 3-2. Bunker goes down on a line drive to second base.
Louisville starts off the 6th with a double. Next batter draws a walk. Next batter attempts to bunt the runners up, but the led runner is thrown out. K on the next batter, Jordan Dail comes in to pitch for Oregon. Dail gets a K to end the inning.
Carlson pops to second to start the 6th for the Ducks. Bowden goes down with a K. Pangilinan also gets a K. First batter gets a single to start the 7th for Louisville, sac bunt moves her to 2nd. The Cardinal, Celine Funke, with the homer, triples this time, bringing in the 3rd run to tie the score. A single by the next batter brings Funke in, Louisville leads, 4-3. Strike out ends the inning for Louisville, Ducks trail, 4-3, bottom of the 7th coming up.
Mya Felder pops up to lead off, Sievers strikes out, Cruse singles, advances to 2nd on overthrow, McGowan at bat, McGowan flies out, that's it.

Well that's a bummer. Starting the season 16-0 was pretty fun.

Oregon drops their 2nd game today in a heartbreaking manner, as Oklahoma State scored 2 runs in the B9 to win 5-4.

Two tough losses. OSU was expected to be tough at home. Young team which will only get better. Hard to figure Sievers. They probably don't compare with UCLA, UW, or UA in PAC-12 at present, but, I think they are as good or better than the rest. By season's end who knows how good they might be.

Oregon 2 UIC 0 A bases loaded single by Ariel Carlson scored Haley Cruse & Terra McGowan to break up a 0-0 game in the top of the 6th. A walk to Deijah Pangilinan loaded the bases again, but outs for Shaye Bowden & Vallery Wong end the inning.
UIC responds by getting runners to 2nd & 3rd before the first out. Diaz strikes out the next batter, a squeeze bunt is foiled and the batter thrown out.
Maddie Hopper pinch hits for Jasmine Sievers and leads off the 7th with a single, a double play & a ground out ends the inning.
3 up, 3 down for UIC. Ducks win.
