OT- How have you used the extra time during Covid?

I work in an office that has been closed since March, and with the time I save from the commute and with the gym being closed, I've been putting my energy into things that have gone neglected for a while. I half-jokingly have a collage going of all the things I'm getting done around the house. With hunting season coming up, I'm starting to get some related things under way like scouting, making arrows, etc.

What have all of you been doing with the extra time?

Here's the ongoing list of how I've spent my excess time-

- Built a 150 foot picket fence, which required some brickwork along with it
- Tore off and replaced 980 sq ft of roof on my garage
- Mounted a hangboard in the house (girlfriend and I are both rock climbers)
- Took out a tree stump that's been there since last summer
- Built two 6x3 raised garden beds and planted half a farm in them
- Started flower beds on two different ends of the house
- Set up a home office with new furnishings
- Started a dozen homemade arrows (in process)
- Went on a couple failed morel hunts
- Drove from Portland to the Alvord Desert and back in a weekend
- Hiked Mount St Helens
- Been lending a hand doing interior siding and other work for a house my mother is building

I still have a French drain on the to-do list, and need to replace all my gutters. Then it's on to hunting season and, hopefully, football season. And maybe this mess will all be over by the end of that?

sent home end of march spent 40 days at home. Took hikes everyday then
back to work. moved me to upstairs office. then put the house up for sale
and bought a new house move out and move in next week. Been a ton of
fun putting that together. Um will never ever do this again. Last move for me and
the wife. during this time ive lost 13 lbs and gained appreciation for over stressed.

The hardest part is no sports. And in October i better be watching duck sports
in my new house, And i drew tag so i better be hunting.

I think Stevens takes productivity to a whole new level.

I pressure washed my deck and outdoor basketball court, did some weed/blackberry wacking around my property and went on some hikes, but overall been pretty lazy.

We have 4 generations of family living on 7 acres.

Between maintaining the property, and handling 90% of the grocery shopping, plus driving other family members to various appointments (When my son is at work, I'm the only other driver available, most days), helping my grandson with homework, and other odd jobs, I managed to slip in a fishing day or 2.

In the spirit of escapism, I need some Duck Football!

I did score a great deal on a lightly used John Deere X-324, with Cyclone Rake, powered bagger, and mulch kit, which has made this whole thing easier to bear. ($2500 for all of it.)

Cut average mowing time in half, and suddenly the grandson has decided he needs to do the mowing :) !

Cheap at twice the price... Until he figures out Grandma would pay him to do it!
