Really unfortunate news. While I don't care much for fencing and some of the other sports, I'm disappointed to see wrestling get tossed from yet another west coast school (OSU and Arizona State will become the only Pac-12 schools with the sport, despite it being the 7th most popular boys sport in the country at the high school level).
Generally, though, just hate to see opportunities going away for high schoolers wanting to continue in their sport at the next level.

hey could have just cut Football, saved a boatload of $, and not put a dent in their future national title numbers.Biggus Duckus wrote:Interesting that it is an odd number. I thought Title IX dictated an equal number of men's and women's sports.
Either way, that's a huge bummer and will probably put a dent in their future national title numbers.

Read this great news today: https://www.espn.com/college-sports/sto ... ity-sports
Stanford won't be cutting the 11 sports as previously announced. Great news for the non-revenue sports community and the campuses that they exist at.
