Any rumors on Henry, Radley-Hiles or other transfer players?

News is so slow. It seems JTT is going to wait this one out.

I am curious whether we will see anyone make their way to the Ducks.

I saw Chip is recruiting Radley Hiles as a S. That is definitely a position of need for the Ducks.

I am bored.

Nothing too new, just Radley-Hines looking at West Coast schools: Oregon, UCLA, USC, etc. I think he would be a pretty good pick-up for the Ducks. Oklahoma fans consider him a bust, but while he didn’t quite live up to his near five star billing I think he would be a great fit for us since we need DBs with experience - badly.

Henry Tootoot you can pretty much book for Alabama.

JTT is waiting to take official visits, might go until June per Huffman who is pretty much the only recruiting writer the family talked to. Oregon is trailing Alabama and Ohio State.

Slow on the recruiting front. But knowing Mario, even without visits they may get a commit or two in the near future. Trejon Williams, the Jefferson High safety, has been a likely candidate for next commit.

Would be nice to know sooner rather than later on JTT. If we can’t get him, would be nice to add another solid transfer before they’re all gone.

Thanks GDT. Appreciate the info. I like Radely Hiles at S. Seems to be a position of need right?

I think they have a pretty good read on JTT based on some comments from people on the inside. Pretty accurate that Oregon is likely not his choice at this moment. Not saying it cant or won't change but it seems they have a read on things as of this time.

That'd suck if true, I like Coach Joe but he can't seem to recruit the big ones for whatever reason.

The QB dominos are falling. Over the past few weeks there have been QB commits for a lot of top programs, and Oregon’s QB picture was looking cloudy. A little more clear now.

2022 4-star QB Tanner Bailey of Gordo, Alabama is getting crystal balls and the rumor is that he’s a silent commit. He and his family visited Eugene this week for an unofficial, no contact visit. His dad played QB at Auburn, and Bailey has had offers from Auburn, Alabama, Michigan, LSU, Georgia, and the like.

I really like this kid. His throws wind up exactly where they should. Variety of throws, that’s the first thing I always look for and he makes all of them. Just well placed and catchable. He doesn’t look like a dual threat, so hopefully he can scoot well enough. He’s also not the biggest at 6’1” 195. Missed some time with a broken collarbone in 2020, and still made MaxPreps second team all state. I was honestly relieved when I saw this kid was visiting, because the available QB selection is slim and some of the guys really didn’t look great.

Yeah, Bailey seems like he's all about the Ducks on twitter. I have to think this is a fall-back for him. Really sounds like he wanted to go to either Auburn or Alabama, but they both had coaching changes and then went with other guys. Auburn, his dream school, took a 3-star guy from out of state instead. Ouch. So after the carnage was over, it was either Oregon or South Carolina.

This is a Moorehead recruit. He's also following the highest rated QB the Ducks have ever signed.

I like this pick up from the Ducks standpoint.

He already committed to BYU, along with his brother, who transferred from Utah.

It was pretty much a given that if he left UW he would go to BYU with his brother.

If the rumors from January are to be believed Puka reached out to Oregon and was told no. Washington fans refused to believe someone would want to leave Captain Jimmy’s sinking dinghy for greener pastures. It’s probably for the best, he’s an exciting player when healthy but he’s a weird kid who wasn’t particularly well liked at UW.

Speaking of UW, they’re expecting a commit from Oklahoma transfer Bookie Radley-Hines. He’s not as bad as Oklahoma fans will lead you to believe, but not as good as UW fans will claim he is. With Oregon’s inexperience at DB he would have been a good addition but not a must get.

As far as other updates: the Ducks offered JTT a basketball scholarship. A meaningless gesture since he would be on a football scholarship and he’s not good enough to play Pac-12 basketball - let alone while playing football. The move makes me think that any steam Oregon had with his recruitment was wearing off and they tried to do this to get some more attention. Maybe I’m completely wrong and they’re showing him the school’s commitment but I didn’t interpret it as a good sign.

On JTT, I dont think it's a completely meaningless gesture. Arik Armstead practiced with the men's team and played a few minutes. So it's not like a dual sports athlete hasn't been tried this way before. Maybe it's just a clever way to showcase the Oregon brand. ("Ahhh. You can win here however you want!") The whole JTT recruitment has seemed like a Hail Mary shot to begin with.

Maybe we should tell him about the sad tale of Vernon Gholston? (rim shot)

Jordan Kent was basketball, track, and then added football to his resume, no doubt, much to the chagrin of his Dad, Ernie.
