Great work Jhop - again

paraphrasing here: 2011 (ESPN top 150) QB is all ducks. DeMarcus mentioned that it is a done deal in his mind and as soon as Oregon offers, he's a Duck. Better yet, essentially his mom back home told DaMarcus (after watching the game) that he had better commit. How is that for parent support? Man that game is paying off.

I was about to post this. I hope Oregon offers this kid, he is ready to commit this early! Awesome! A ESPNU 150 QB!

not sure if this has been posted

Sounds excellent guys...our staff is clearly interested so maybe he gets his offer after Feb 2010 signing day and will be one of our first commits! Very cool and a great start to our 2011 class!!

GO DUCKS!!

Is he going to get an offer? Is everyone assuming that's an inevitability?

I am sure they are waiting to see his grades and test scores before offering.

They would be crazy not to offer unless qualifying is an issue. I don't think the Ducks will be in on any other ESPNU 150 QB's, they look the Ducks way but ultimately end up elsewhere.

Isn't there a certain date that you aren't allowed to offer out of state guys till? I may be totally off but I thought I remember reading that somewhere.

His stats seem to show that he is a throwing QB who can run if he needs to (3200 pass yards compared to 485 rush yards.)

That's basically what Dixon was, he scored lots of touchdowns but he rarely had Masoli-type yardage. That's also more or less what we're looking at with Darron Thomas.

Love it! I'm hoping we get to the point where kids have to commit early with the thought of if they don't, someone else will take their spot.

It is. For only $5 a mo. You could have got this info a long time ago on DT. :D
