Part of the backstory for him is that he visited SNL while "committed" and a poodle fan commented on his social media that they should pull his scholarship already.

Good but not great. He plays DE, not DT, at his high school. He's a little small for a DT and a little slow for a DE, but plays with good leverage and has good moves, just doesn't have athleticism or strength that necessarily stick out. I think 3* (his rating) is appropriate, because despite that review, he's capable of being a serviceable player at the Pac-12 level.
