Here is your Game Program https://goducks.com/publications/oregon ... ll-issue-2

Last game before Rogers returns (we hope)

Of Note:
McNeese state from Louisiana with have 2 former Oregon prep players starting.

McNeese normally plays a very short team and almost half their shots are 3 pointers. For Oregon they may roll out a couple of taller players who normally play about 10 minutes a game.

They have a pretty good scoring average but give up even more points. This game should be good for practicing 3 point defense.

I don't think they'll be as quick handed as Long Beach was so maybe Kyei can play for more then 2 minutes. Against Long Beach they stripped her every time she tried to come down with a rebound or go up with a shot, it was a tough 2 minutes.

27-0 start to the game. 32-7 end of first quarter. Parrish is hot and aggressive. 15 points in the quarter.

Highlight of the quarter though was a gorgeous jump hook from Prince that I haven't seen from her before. She could have got that shot off over Coach Moser.

Hosendove seems to be elevating some of the other players... It's like the Ducks are taking her presence as a challenge to play better.
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

At the half Sidney Parrish 17 - McNeese State 14

54-14 at the half. Prince missed her second use of that jump hook she unveiled, but it is unblockable. Hope to see more of it come conference play.

Parrish 17 points. Hurst is still on 3 point shooting hot streak she started last week. When the injured players get back this team will have depth.

Only negatives. Turnovers and free throws! Overall dominating a team they should dominate. Philly is going to be a beast!!!

a good game for the team to try to get some rhythm.
Yes it was basically practicing against south eugene high school, but our team has a lot of work to do so it is what it is.

I'm a litte stunned at our poor passing as a whole. How do these highly rated players not know how to make post entry passes and passes against the press? Kelly's got a lot of work to do for sure.

Somehow they will eliminate a bunch of those turnovers or they will not go far

With the return of two elite, ball-handling guards from injury. Will definitely help.

For me the thing about this game was hitting wide open shots. Making an open 3 is about you, and Parrish and Hurst were making them.

These last few short roster games have been about developing and determining starter 5 and first 3 off the bench. I think Parrish, Hurst and Watson have used this opportunity to build their confidence and their teammates confidence in them. Parrish is a group leader, talks and directs, that confidence makes her more effective leading.

Scheer is the one who is on the border of taking the next step, but games she scores the turnovers are high and vice versa. Regardless she appears to be a lock to be starter 4, has all the tools including personality to be the floor general and defensive leader. Just needs to find her shot and get rid of some reckless passes to be really good. She is so similar to Minyon Moore.

I mean we've been saying this since early last year. If this squad hasn't figured it out by now, it's going to be one of those eras where everything clicks in people's senior years.

Soon (maybe). I put the over/under at limited minutes 1 game before conference play. That's Northwestern on the 21st then there is 10 days off before Conference play (Utah on the 31st).
