eDuck: How are your grades, how are you doing in school?

Williams: I’ve been making As and Bs all year.

eDuck: And how about your SAT or ACT?

Williams: I took it last year.

eDuck: How did you do on that?

Williams: I believe I made a 20.

eDuck: How about in the weight room, your bench, squat and power clean?

Williams: Bench 365, squat 500.

eDuck: Do you know what your 40 time is?

Williams: 4.49.

eDuck: Dontae, I want to congratulate you on your decision and wish you well. I look forward to seeing you next year when you get on campus at Oregon.

Williams: Thank you.

Good to hear about the grades. Impressive bench, squat & 40 too.

Ya, ACT is a little concerning though. But we'll see. I don't really know what it takes ACT-wise to make it into Oregon if you're playing ball.

Strong and fast, he will most likely play right away to compliment LMJ. It will be interesting to see how Kelly uses Grant, if he redshirts him or uses him in the Tazer role and whether they only go with LMJ, Williams, Grant and Alston and Barner goes back to D. My guess is Barner stays at RB but moves into the Tazer role because of his speed while LMJ and Williams get the bulk of carries. Alston will probably continue to be used in the 2nd half when the Ducks have big leads.

Still would love to know what happened after the USC visit.

Dontae is gonna beast at Oregon. He is one of the rare players that has both the strength and the speed. He's a bit undersized, but tall running backs isn't necessarily a good thing.

If DW is legitimately pulling As and Bs, an average ACT score of 20 is no problem at all.

Many players report the average ACT score, rather than composite... I have no clue why.

The ACT is a 4 part test... If D-Dub's score is an average of the possible 36 points on each section, a 20 would be the equivalent of a composite 80 (The sum of all 4 scores.) A 3.0 GPA must be matched by a composite of 52 which translates to an average of 13.

If Dontae's GPA was as low as 2.15, an average score of 20 (80 composite) would get him through the NCAA Clearinghouse.

I believe the coaches have it figured Dontae will qualify.

Yeah, I agree that seemed kind of strange hearing that he had committed and then he hadn't. Maybe we will find out soon?

This looks nice: LMcoolJ, Williams, Barner, Alston and redshirt Grant (look how it turn out for LMJ). I have feeling we might take in 1 more RB (unknown yet).

Thanks for breaking it down Wounded. I would also like to find out the details of why he wavered after his official visit. The whole "sister wanted me to wait" just doesnt sound legit. Who knows, I'm just glad he's a Duck! :D

The coaches certainly won't turn down Lattimore, Seastrunk or McConico if they were to want to come to Eugene. However, I think they will all end up elsewhere, but I bet they go after a JC RB (Harris or Hayes) to spread out the classes a bit.

I would bet that Williams will play right away but we will try to reshirt Grant if possible.

I find it hard to believe any of the RB recruits this year would not redshirt.. James and Barner coming back and I believe Alston is a junior.. I think all the RB's coming in will sit a year!

I think that at least 1 will play since Kelly seems to like to have about 4 RBs to give him adequate depth.
