Re: 2022-23 Coaching Carousel
Nebraska is the first to fill their HC opening as they've hired Matt Rhule.
Auburn will be hiring Freeze after Kiffin agreed to a new deal at Ole Miss.
Deion Sanders has been offered the Colorado job.

I'd love to see Prime in Boulder. Don't know how long before he took a better job, but hopefully something good could happen to CU football if the Pac stays intact.

Getting a few years out of him would be fantastic for both CU and the PAC 10. He’d take some players we’d like to have I’m sure, but all in all I think a win for the whole conference.Duck07 wrote:I'd love to see Prime in Boulder. Deogin Sanders to Colorado would be interesting. Would feel bad for their fan base cuz the guy is an arrogant jerk, but would definitely make things more interesting in Boulder.

Re: 2022-23 Coaching Carousel
David Shaw has resigned/retired as Stanford's HC. Not sure who they can get in there that will really make a difference as Stanford has so many disadvantages when it comes to the transfer portal, NIL, and overall vision for the program.

Wisconsin looks to be going after Luke Fickell, not Jim Leonhard.

Now its official from Thamel. Was hoping to see Fickell stay since they're moving to the Big 15 as it is for CFP purposes.

Texas State is now open after firing Jake Spavital. He could be an option at OC for Oregon.

I personally never like going after someone that was fired, despite the risk of leaving quickly, I always say go for a young and hungry guy ready to prove himself.greenyellow wrote:Texas State is now open after firing Jake Spavital. He could be an option at OC for Oregon.

Re: 2022-23 Coaching Carousel
I'm very sorry to see this. Shaw is one of the best coaches in the conference and a top-25 coach in the country.greenyellow wrote:David Shaw has resigned/retired as Stanford's HC. I expect him to take a one year hiatus, maybe do some broadcasting, but his name will be mentioned in a LOT of openings moving forward. I sincerely hope he doesn't take another job in the Pac-12 because he's going to do very well if he chooses the right school that doesn't have the limitations he had at Stanford.
If Chip Kelly at UCLA, Justin Wilcox at Cal, etc don't do well next year, I could see Shaw's name being mentioned. I can't imagine him stepping into the UCLA job with all the talent in L.A. at his disposal.
He'll land on his feet somewhere.

UNLV HC Marcus Arroyo is out after a 5-7 season and a 7-23 record overall.

Re: 2022-23 Coaching Carousel
Almost thought this was sarcasm. Yes, the Stanford program has lots of limitations, but I'm not really sure he'd be a great coach even without them. He did well his first few years with Harbaugh leftovers. Then things went down hill from there. Imo, he would've been fired a long time ago if it weren't for his alumni status.SuperDuck wrote:
