Isn't the word on Chip Long that he is hard to work with? Maybe I have him confused with someone else.
Are you confusing him with Tom Herman?
There are rumors that Long is also difficult to work with, though I believe he and Lanning crossed paths for a bit, so Lanning would at least have first-hand experience working with him to determine how accurate that is. I believe being a pain in the ass to work with is a reason Chip Long went from up and coming OC at Notre Dame to a guy that was having a hard time finding another OC position and ended up at Tulane and subsequently Georgia Tech. That doesn't seem like something that happens by accident.
Chemistry among the staff is critical. So if Long is in fact difficult to work with then I hope they pass. The guys on the team quickly pick up when there is discord among coaches and there was definitely that on the staff last year and it started early in the season, specifically when the 'he's interested in the Miami job' stuff surfaced. There was a definite clique on the staff last year so the point is if someone is perceived as difficult to work with that may be a reason to pass.

Certainly we may not know all the facts but often times those 'rumors' have some veracity.

That makes sense and would not be surprising if he got it.

Sounds like Texas WR coach Brennan Marion is interviewing for jobs right now. Wondering if it's for a lower level HC job or something like OC at either Oregon or ASU.

Seems like a HR hire to me. I also assume if Brady is the hire like this says, Bo willl be back and we will end up with a couple big time WR transferring in.

Yeah I wouldn't expect Brady to last long here but his resume speaks for itself even if you want to discount the natural talents of Burrows, Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase as you still have to win the games with those kind of guys.
