Still on the outside looking in after our win against USC. Win this and we're a 50/50 bubble team.

Actually shocked this team is playing its way into the tourney after sleepwalking through the first half of the season.

The students should be really fired up for this one. My first UCLA game as a freshman was 1970, when Oregon waxed 21-0 (and eventual NCAA champion) UCLA 78-65 (the Rusty Blair game). In those days students would camp overnight and the line would fill the sidewalk all the way around the corner for UCLA games. The press of the crowd was such that as you approached the front doors you could lift your feet off the ground and be carried in.

I was there also camped out overnight. Not a student but had a student ticket.
i was by far the loudest i have ever heard a crowd during a basketball game.

Wooden walked over to shake Coach Belko's hand with a couple of minutes to go, telling him that things were probably going to get crazy when the game ended, and it might be the only chance he would have to congratulate him. Blair killed a second half UCLA rally by hitting five consecutive jump shots.

The student tickets were free and midcourt courtside IIRC. Gates opened around 5:30 and you watched two games, the always entertaining frosh game and then the main event. Funny to reminisce about a game played 55 years ago; it would be like a listening to old guys talk about 1915 in 1970.

We're only 1.5 point underdogs, so Vegas definitely thinks we have a chance.

We're also pretty healthy now, finally.

UCLA is just a tough team, when Oregon’s shot doesn’t fall they just wilt. This is a team full of betas that’s missing the alpha personality like Payton Pritchard.

You’d never know this is a bubble team playing the #7 team at home in mid-February. This team doesn’t deserve fan attendance. Here we come NIT!
