Well... turns out that most of your post is just opinion and isn't sourced to anything, but here you go....
- A plane crashed into a helicopter in D.C. and the President blamed diversity, equity and inclusion programs
DEI hiring practices will inevitably lead to lower quality. That's factual. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that the woman on the plane was promoted due to DEI qualifications. Either way, we need to reverse any promotions / hires that were made on the basis of race / quotas.
- 17 inspector generals, whose job is to root out corruption and waste, were fired in week 1
These IG's were mostly hand-picked during Obama admin. There is no such thing as nonpartisan. The new administration has been given the mandate to replace them. Most of the IG's serve to protect the institution as opposed to reveal the true underlying corruption. For example, IG Horowitz excluded a bunch of damning details about the DOJ and FBI in his 2019 report about Russiagate. He should be fired next.
- USAID, which distributes money to aid organizations around the world and is a key tool in U.S. soft power, has been shuttered unconstitutionally (only a bill from Congress can close an agency)
No thanks. Americans aren't interested in funding the CIA's covert foreign operations through NGO's. This only serves to create more enemies when we inevitably try to overthrow those foreign governments (see Middle East, Russia, Columbia, etc...). Additionally, recent discoveries by DOGE have demonstrated wanton waste and abuse of funds through NGO's to fund social programs within other countries, through the USAID. That's insanity. No thanks. Lovely to see the exposure. We are all paying for this so we should know what's going on.
- Mexico has agreed in principle to send 10k troops to the border and the U.S. has agreed to take actions to stem the flow of guns from the U.S. to Mexico, though I haven't seen what those commitments entail (*edit: For context, apparently the Biden administration also got Mexico to send 10k troops to help at the border, plus Guatemala added 1500 police officers to their border and Honduras added 7000 to theirs in the same agreement in 2021)
They weren't on the border so whatever deal was in place before didn't actually accomplish anything. This new deal is good news to stop fentanyl and illegals from crossing!
- Costs are up and expected to rise higher, stock market is generally neutral (some would say down, but volatility is a thing that exists)
Costs are going to rise for the next 100 years until a boatload of government spending gets cut. DOGE is the best thing to ever happen in this regard. The exposure will go miles to get future legislation to reduce spending. I have zero optimism that Congress will do the right thing, however.
- Trump's pick for FBI head pleaded the 5th in his open hearing, the first time this has ever happened in U.S. history
Already addressed. Patel is an American hero. He was subpoenaed by a rogue FBI that wanted to destroy its political enemy. He was absolutely right to do that.
- The President's pick for undersecretary of the State department recently wrote on social media "Competent white men must be in charge if you want things to work. Unfortunately, our entire national ideology is predicated on coddling the feelings of women and minorities, and demoralizing competent white men."
Half of the previous administration appointees and judges hold outright racist views so if it's only one guy, then that's a big improvement.
- Data, articles, and communications at the NIH and CDC have been removed or paused (to give an illustration of how these are used - my wife is a nurse and a patient wanted to know more about a vaccine they were recommended, and she directed them to the CDC page that houses the latest research, but the page has been removed and she doesn't have time to conduct research while managing her remaining patient load so the subject patient will have to try to figure it out without professional help)
The highest level officials for the NIH did the following:
(1) helped to fund gain-of-function research against multiple warnings of the dangers involved
(2) actively withheld information that would have revealed true origins of COVID
(3) propped up a fraudulent study ("Proximal Origins") as evidence that this the virus was natural in its origins, when private emails reveal that they new otherwise
(4) actively conspired to destroy any doctors that advocated for common-sense public health responses (Great Barrington Declaration) that did not entail extreme lockdowns and mandates.
CDC pushed pseudo-scientific mandates on Americans for 2 years, and enacted such measures that were later overturned by SCOTUS. Mandating masks to stop a microscopic virus? Unreal.
These institutions need an overhaul from the ground-up.
There are a ton of better websites out there.
- Funding of cancer and other research by the NIH have been paused
Good. Move that funding to a more reputable organizations.
- Ukraine and Russia are still at war
Sounds like there will be a summit in UAE/Saudi Arabia soon.
We should be extremely happy with this news.
- Israel and Hamas are exchanging prisoners/hostages; no aid program has been determined and the United Nations are currently banned from Gaza
United Nations is a fraudulent money laundering organization. They sanctions and condemn Israel while ignoring all of the islamist states' human rights violations surrounding them. They have no credibility.
- There appears to be a pending trade war with Canada, but at timing of this post, the full extent and effects are unknown (*edit: an announcement has come out that Canada will enhance border security, which they originally announced in December with little fanfare, so I'm a bit confused on what exactly was gained/changed here other than a new press release)
Tariffs will cripple Canada as evidenced by the drop in the Canadian dollar to lowest value since 2003.
Great use of leverage.
- Donald Trump has launched a crypto coin bearing his name which makes up approximately 90% of his wealth based on prevailing market prices
haha
- Pardoned approximately 1,500 insurrectionists, including those who have separate offenses for rape, domestic abuse, drug trafficking, child molestation, and child pornography
Good. Their constitutional rights to due process were violated to the nth degree.
The amount of malpractice that occurred by the politically-inclined FBI/DOJ and judges is unfathomable. There has been much coverage of this. Too much to cover in this post. Let me know if you want links.
