This isn't indicative of my full opinion of him, but he completed just 47% of his passes this last season. Not sure if that's a degree-of-difficulty issue (throws downfield A LOT), bad receivers, or yea, just poor accuracy. It's reason for pause, though.Duck07 wrote:It's Moga btw.
He's a fast QB when he gets up field (also a sprinter for 100/200). He's got incomplete mechanics and throws off his back foot which affects his follow-through. He's still accurate and seems to process just fine but he's someone who will need more refinement before he's ready to take over as a Starter.
That's the wonderful part of HUDL highlights vs full game-film, No bad plays! There certainly didn't seem to be many lay-up type throws (screens, slants, quick outs) so perhaps you're right about some of those other things. One of the plays on his HL I saw was a dropped pass.StevensTechU wrote:This isn't indicative of my full opinion of him, but he completed just 47% of his passes this last season. I'm guessing we just aren't as comfortable throwing NIL $ at unproven HS QBs and that we'll target another Portal QB to compete with Novosad and Thompson next Spring.bellsduck wrote:Is this the best we can do for qb?
Why are you that concerned about QB3?nogerO wrote:Why is TT still here? It’s pretty apparent by what we’ve seen so far, that there’s not a lot to inspire confidence that he can be top tier power 5 school. Maybe Danimal sees something there…

Frankly, I think TT will provide us a possible look at what our new OC Will Stein might be able to impart to his QBs in teaching TT to become a better QB. If he can coach him up and bring out the best in TT it would be a pretty great thing to have someone who can develop QBs.
Well I don't hang out at Spring practices trying to glean info for the backup QB battle, do you?jimmy12 wrote:
But what has TT showed you that he is improving? I get that he has been put in difficult situations but has he shown any progression? This feels like everyone hanging on to a star rating.
This seems to be the conventional wisdom at the moment.StevensTechU wrote:I wonder if Van Burren is higher on the Ducks' board and they want to see if they get him first before letting Moga commit.
