Has anyone run the math on how many seniors, early NFL departures, and probably transfers that Oregon anticipates this year?
Current recruiting class is 23, with a few targets still being recruited hard.

My very flawed attempt at adding them up....
Seniors/Super Seniors- Nix, Steven Jones, Popo, Dorlus, Casey Rogers, Steve Stephens, Bryan Addison, Funa, Evan Williams, Taki, Camden (11)
Eligibility question marks - Khyree Jackson? Angilau? Jamal Hill? (3)
Potential NFL - AJ Cornelius, Bucky Irving(2)
Likely transfers - Kris Hutson, Josh Delgado, Michael Wooten (3)
Total: 19

Maybe I missed it but I didn’t see Troy Franklin mentioned, he’s probably going pro after this season.

Shouldn't the number of transfers be a fair bit higher? Not that I can point to specific guys, but my sense is that we have had well more than three transfers in recent offseasons. Unless I'm misremembering, I would pencil in like a half-dozen transfers out.

Troy Franklin is a good call. Jestin Jacobs would be in the "potential NFL" bucket, I suppose.
Lanning seemed to make it a point that, of the guys processed last year, there were few that he recruited. If that holds this year, not many names on that list.

I would expect to lose a cornerback or two, especially given who they have coming in. Wonder if Trikweze will stick around.

With NIL is this even a concern anymore?

It's been nice not having to watch him get beat on almost every pass to his man.

In addition to Trikweze, Dontae Manning and Nikko Reed are candidates for transfer. I expect one to start, but both of those guys are too good to be backups and would start on most teams countrywide.
Daymon David is another transfer candidate. Guy had some praise early on, but injuries and then better athletes coming in have put him lower on the depth chart.
I have questions about a few linemen, but it's far too early to know and I don't have any insight. There just isn't a lot of fat to trim on this team.

Well then it sounds like the collective should be paying for a few of the end of roster guys to become "walk-ons with NIL deals."
Further, unless the rules have changed, Teitum Tuioti's Tuition (and Ware-Hudson) are like a fraction of everyone else's (and a great tongue-twister) as their parents are school employees. I always thought Luke Belloti-Scholarship Kicker was one of the strangest moves.

I'm pretty sure I saw 14 seniors on the roster at GoDuck.com.
We have a lot of freshman and redshirt freshman. Along with this years class, it looks like we're loaded with talent for the near future.

He has to be out of eligibility isn’t he? Guy has been here forever. Nico Reed can’t transfer again, beside someone he is playing a ton now. Manning has been dinged up, and that’s why he isn’t playing as much. I assume we see a lot of backup DL leave and WRs.

Can someone set me straight - Do student-athletes who competed through the covid year (2020) get essentially 5 years of playing eligibility + a redshirt year, so 6 years total?
Makes a difference for what Oregon players could stick around (Khyree Jackson), and a huge difference in who could be available in the portal.

I could be wrong, but I believe anyone eligible during the shortened covid year gets an extra year. They can get up to 7 years with a grey shirt. Hell, Cam McCormick was given a 9th year

If someone was in a JUCO during the covid year, as is the case with Khyree, do they not get granted that extra season? I think that's what I recall, but with no amount of certainty.
