Based on early rumors, it looks like Oregon/UW will be the final game of the season. Going to be a tough November as they also have to play Michigan and Wisconsin that final month.

Not really. It's: four games, bye, eight games, bye, UW. Our first bye is before the game at UCLA, when the Bruins will have played at LSU the week prior. Almost assuredly, however, UW will have a bye before they come to Autzen, just like we'll have had a bye.

13 games . . . and two in August!

So incredible to see all of these opponents: MSU, OSU, Michigan and Wisconsin in the same year! And if Chip has UCLA playing well, and if UW is good . . . just incredible!

How long have people been really working on the move to a different conference? It's been, what, three years since they have taken away the "Civil War" name? I've been wondering the whole time why there has been really zero movement towards figuring out a new name for the rivalry...

I think that's more to the fact that everyone still calls it the civil war. Every year I still hear, and read, the media refer to it as the Civil War game.

Speaking of Oregon State, I was reading on O-Live that apparently the idea of playing the Beavers next year isn't dead yet -- even though it would take some finagling/buyouts, whatever, involving one or more of the Ducks' currently scheduled non-conference opponents to achieve that.

Would think OSU would need to figure out their conference identity before scheduling any games. Either way, they could be facing some serious player defections as a result. Would they REALLY want to play UO once the smoke has settled?
