Brutal loss. They had a lot of chances. Unlucky that a below average player in Deivon Smith decided he couldn’t miss for a day, including the end of half prayer that was the difference. The team will be significantly better when Bittle is back, if for no other reason than we hopefully don’t see anymore Diawara PT. I’d honestly rather play 5 guards than see him play anymore. I feel for him, as he was only supposed to be an end of bench depth piece that got thrust into a bigger role by injuries. But it’s hard to watch him play. Net negative whenever he’s out there.

Ducks lose a tough 80-77 game late as they can't get the shots they needed to drop. Oregon just couldn't get the necessary stops whenever they got a multiple possession lead. Couisnard and Dante showed up but weren't getting much help, especially from Evans or Shelstad. They'll need to regroup with the Arizona schools coming in next week.

Barthelemy also had a poor game. Didn’t even try to distract the guy shooting the long range shot at the end of the 1st half. Also made questionable offensive decisions and didn’t block out on a key put back near the end of the game.

Looks like defense will be the focus at practice next week.

Sad to say, but these are the ones we gotta win to make the tournament...

It doesn’t help that Washington State just beat Utah 79-57.

One could argue that makes the road win at Wazzu all the more impressive. Utah is a completely different team on the road than at home. I have no doubt the Ducks will beat them in Eugene.OregonFan4Life wrote:It doesn’t help that Washington State just beat Utah 79-57.

True^. Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon haven't lost at home. But have lost plenty on the road.
