NCAA R32: #11 Oregon v #3 Creighton (March 23, Sat 6:40 PM TBS)

Oregon/Creighton gets the final tipoff time of the day while games in LA and SLC open the day. Talk about awful schedule from CBS and the NCAA.

Think I would have liked an earlier matchup, oh well, Guess I can make a night of it!
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Oregon just had to go with the black and yellow in Pittsburgh.

Creighton is clearly a dirty team taking sneaky dirty shots. Their big white guy had a dirty smirk when he was trying to undercut Dante on the lob there.

10 minutes into the first half and our guys looked gas like they’re in OT, that’s not a good sign.

Couisnard trying to put this team on his back. If you are an Oregon guard and your name is not Jermaine Couisnard and Jackson Shelstad you should be ashamed of yourself for this effort.

No communication, slow rotations, and the ducks are incredibly gassed and not fighting through screens.

The ducks are VERY VERY lucky they’re only down 2 points at halftime. Creighton has outplayed Oregon in all facets of the game they’re just missing open looks.

Win or lose Altman needs to find a new assistant coach to scout and develop guards. Dante is exhausted but holding his own, Couisnard is fantastic and Shelstad doing good, but the rest of the guards are SO bad on both sides of the court. It’s not lack of talent, it’s lack of awareness and basketball IQ. They get lost so much on both sides of the court.

Not a great matchup, really what it is. They have had a TON of open looks. The Ducks can’t stay with their assignments, or possibly not the best game plan. Will see what Dana draws up at the half. But getting killed on the offensive glass, and way too open shots is not a secret to success. Will be tough to pull this out.

No one seems to be able to make a shot except for couisnard. Dante has been gassed from the first few mins of the game and many of his shots from the paint are short. Perhaps he was overplayed last game.

Shelstad is shooting horribly in the second half but its a good thing he s still playing tough d.

We're very lucky they're shooting very poorly on their open shots.

How was that not a foul on the Creighton center when he made contact with Tracey there?

That was a clean block, Tracey has been beyond awful tonight and I don’t know what possessed him to think trying to dunk on a 7’1” center was a good idea. He did get away with a hack on Dante though on that great catch and finish on the lol from Couisnard.
