Kyle Whittingham lost two players to gun violence in a one year period.

Yeah I wasn’t trying to say it never happens, obviously it does, but also that’s the exception not the rule.

GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND.

For example, in 2022, three University of Virginia players—Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr., and D’Sean Perry—tragically lost their lives after a class field trip.

I’m not going to google college football player deaths, my simple statement was that Dan Lanning dealt with 2 player deaths before his 3rd season of coaching in college football, and compared to the total landscape of college football, that seems rare. I never said it’s the only time it’s happened, also this seems like an incredibly dumb thing to argue about…

Back to Khyree Jackson, looks like there were a lot of emotions at the candlelight vigil at Autzen, he was very loved. I’m out of town this week for work but when I’m back I plan on watching it in its entirety.

Yes, it was very emotional. Such a sad situation.

It was very nice that his family came to the vigil

Very tragic situation. Seemed like a wonderful young man, RIP.

Wonder in this situation is his contract still fully honored by the team? That would be terrific for his family, who’ve gone through so much. Im guessing professional teams probably have insurance policies in place for such tail end risks?
