Women's team gets the job done. Stewart, Plum, Wilson, and Copper were all huge factors down the stretch. France almost tied it on a desperation heave at the buzzer but a foot was over the line so it's a 2 instead of a 3. USA beats France in basketball on consecutive days.

I'm just commenting on the championship game. France was having a lot of success attacking her when she was the primary ballhandler. She was often having to pass to forwards before reaching midcourt. Not sure how many turnovers she ended with but had a number of deflections and things that limited the shot clock for Team USA. And then on defense, France's guards were going at her and having a lot of success. Commentators called out that latter as well. These were the reasons coach Reeve went with Plum down the stretch.

I felt like Sab helped team USA win the game. When they played her in the second half the turnovers stopped especially by the guards, they ran the offense and she even had two nice assists. Having a true PG can make a huge difference on a team with players who only think about scoring. The team finally settled down even after she sat.

Her defense is some what of a liability but with that said no one is confusing Plum with a defensive stopper.

Copper was the main difference maker. She knew her assignment. Tough D and drive to the hoop and kick if needed
