The 6-foot-5 Humphrey originally injured the knee in the summer, and missed the first week of practices in October. He played in Oregon’s first five games but was held out of the last game due to increased pain.

Well s***, that explains a lot. Humphrey has NOT looked the same at all this season (Although his PT was limited), I knew something was wrong. Sucks that he's injured, and hopefully he gets better soon.

If he was out for the entire season, yes. But since he's supposed to come back, I doubt it.

Deep roster + underdeveloped body + underdeveloped game + injury = should have red-shirted.

It's obviously to late though

its def not too late to take a medical redshirt if they want to do that

"In men's college basketball, a student who participates in less than 30 percent of his team's games may apply for medical redshirt status."

Honestly, I don't think this is a big loss. If it were someone like Dunigan, then the ducks would be in trouble. And yes, he should have redshirted anyway.

Right but he's going to be back in a month. And when healthy, he's one of our top 3 bench players IMO. No reason to redshirt him.

Drew Wiley should be our main redshirt candidate IMO.

Darn. I've had high hopes for Humphrey ever since watching him in a couple high school games. He has potential to be a big time player. Hopefully he comes back strong

well if he's out at least a month, its still gonna take time to get back into basketball shape, to work back into the rotation, etc. so i guess it'd be up to the staff and Matt, but a medical redshirt could be an option instead of playing only half the year.
