Of course they still have 8 teams in the top 25. 4 of them have two losses and 4 with one loss. They're trying very hard to make sure the conference has at least 4 teams in the CFP, but I think they are pushing hard for 6. The fake news is in sports too.

I like how the new CFP rules won't allow two SEC teams to have first week byes in the playoffs. However, that comes at the expense of undeserving, inferior teams receiving first week byes. Very tough to even the playing field and diminish the SEC bias.

After Week 8, an ESPN contributor stated that "Georgia still has the best resume..." How?
Oregon's Opponents: 35-26, 57% winning percentage
Georgia's Opponents: 29-26, 53% winning percentage

If you take out the games they were involved in, it gets even worse:
Oregon's Opponents: 35-18, 66% winning percentage in games not involving Oregon
Georgia's Opponents: 28-20, 58% winning percentage in games not involving Georgia

Favoring Oregon:
Idaho>Tenn. Tech
Or. St>Kentucky
Mich. St.>Auburn
tOSU>Texas
Illinois>Alabama (L...are the SEC apologists counting this as a quality loss, strengthening their resume? )

Even:
Boise St. = Clemson
Purdue = Miss. St. (Although, Purdue was on the road, MSU was home for GA)

UCLA becomes the extra game (GA has played one less), which was on the road. Playing an extra game counts toward the resume at this point.

The SEC rhetoric is just plain embarrassing and continues to be there amidst a subpar SEC season. Oregon's only blemish is a tight game at home against now ranked Boise St. early in the season. Georgia LOST to Alabama, who would now have 3 losses if Georgia pulled it out. SEC carry artificial rankings meant to keep the conference on top. Foolishness continues...
