Its at Knight and this is a better team than OSU but strange things happen in the Civil War Series.

Yeah, an article on O-Live (https://www.oregonlive.com/beavers/2024 ... e-bit.html) suggests that the Beavers are pretty motivated for this game. Also, we've seen from the Portland game that it certainly looks like the Ducks are very capable of playing "down" to their opponent's level. Ducks better be ready to play. I won't be a bit surprised at a Duck loss, and it wouldn't be the end of the world this early in the season against a motivated rival.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lose either, but I'm hoping the Portland game opened up our eyes that we can be beaten. Wish this game was at home.

This isn't a Civil War it's a World War. The OSU roster has 8 players from NATO countries (not counting USA) and an Iranian.

One team is playing team basketball, the other is not. This is gonna be a tough game for Oregon.

Keyshawn Barthelemy is the only guy I trust to consistently make 3’s at this point.

Altman just needs to start Jamari Phillips and groom him to be our best/starting SG this season. TJ Bamba and Ra’Heim Moss are liabilities on the court.

Ducks down 37-47, Oregon State is simply outplaying and outcoaching Oregon. Oregon State is also dominating the paint and out rebounding Oregon. Oregon’s defense needs a ton of work, they won’t be above .500 in conference play with defense like this.

Feels like Shelstad is trying to go at lightning speed for everything but can't control himself or the ball while doing so. He just needs to slow it down a bit and quit rushing things.

Refs are random. They were fine in the second half, then decide to call random s*** in the second half. That foul on the screen just now was one of the worst calls I’ve seen. Foul called just because a guy ran into a hard screen. Cook was sitting there for a good 2 seconds and upright. Just a tough call when you’re trying to make up ground, especially as Shelstad made that bucket.

Not to be overly critical of Shelstad, but I wonder how much time he spent on his shot in the offseason, it is noticeably worse than last season, not just cause he’s missing but because his shot is so flat.

Looks like he just needed 4.75 games to find this 3 point shot.
