First Duck to enter the portal is FR OT Jac'Qwan McRoy. Disappointed it didn't work out as many thought he could be something special here.

Lanning said in his presser today, when speaking about wide receiver and defensive back, "Ultimately I think there are some people who will be leaving our program that are great players there, so there will be opportunity...." Not sure if he was saying seniors/draft eligible players, or if he's also anticipating players at those positions hitting the portal.

I think he was mainly talking about all the SRs/draft eligible players there.

Yeah, but I’d put money on Dickey leaving from the WR room, and Davis, Turner and Terrell at least from the DB room. Too much talent coming in. Seems like Dickey either had injury issues, or just wasn’t up to his recruiting ranking.

Seems like the whole defensive backfield and wide receiver room except for Lowe are on transfer watch. Highly rated guys who couldn't break into the rotation with highly rated guys coming in. Something has to give.

Last year I tried to predict who would leave, and while I got some right, I believe I was wrong on most occasions so I'm not even going to try this year.

USC wide receiver Kyron Hudson (brother of Oregon DT Ware-Hudson) is in the portal with 1 year of eligibility. Flipped to USC from Oregon out of high school. Has been good-but-not-great.

Jaxson Jones, 2024 signee at the OLB/edge position, is expected to transfer after redshirting this year.

I'm sort of bummed. I didn't expect him to make an immediate splash, but foresaw him being a good player in his last couple seasons of eligibility.

Strange players are entering the portal during their RS years instead of waiting to see what kind of PT they may get after next spring and fall camp once all the people above them leave.

Oregon safety Tyler Turner is hitting the portal. Another that makes you go "too bad" because he and his family seemed all-in on the Ducks and the talent appeared to be there to develop eventually.

Thought he'd potentially work his way into a solid rotation spot next season. Oregon still has loads of young talent at the safety positions but they could probably use an experienced guy or two from the transfer portal.

Wasn't Turner getting spot reps earlier on this season? Makes sense why we saw Lopa in on Warren in the B1G Title Game and I think we all have high hopes for Woodyard, Flowers, and McNutt.

He was able to redshirt, but played a decent amount (4 games) as a freshman. That gave me the impression that he was in line to be a contributor, but guess it won't be at Oregon. Joins Kodi DeCambra as a the latest safety where you go "Oh maybe!... oh, maybe not."

Getting the Purdue Safety seems like it would create what may be a solid 2-deep at the spot with Thieneman?/Woodyard and Lopa/McNutt (Flowers/Davis).

And by “all in,” you mean mom taking to social media blasting Oregon for here son not playing over Evan Williams. She had some epic rants, and not in a good way. Actually surihe lasted this long.
