Not sure why they would kick him off the team for that, unless he was becoming disgruntled and detrimental to the team.UOducksTK1 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:16 pmWould be interesting. Oh I meant there are also rumors out there that he may not be participating in meetings/practices/etc.squintsdd wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:21 pmNot sure why they would kick him off the team for that, unless he was becoming disgruntled and detrimental to the team.UOducksTK1 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:16 pmWould be interesting. Nothing is substantiated right now, so just throwing out there what I read on Husky forum.

I know he really wanted to come to UO, and our coaches passed. And so far at UW, he hasn’t showed up to one team meeting. So I assume it’s him,UOducksTK1 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:16 pmWould be interesting. Rumors seem somewhat accurate as it's now been confirmed he's leaving already.

247 updated their transfer rankings, and Oregon has two guys in the top 10.
Isaiah World went from 24th to 1st overall.
Dillon Thieneman went from 73rd to 10th overall.

After watching film, these are bizarre rankings to me. World wasn't all-conference in the MWC as a 4th-year player, and his film indicated to me that he's an agile huge body who lunges and plays soft.UOducksTK1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 10:24 am 247 updated their transfer rankings, and Oregon has two guys in the top 10.

On3 isn't far different either, #8 nationally (#1 OT). Perhaps a lot more potential than we realize? And perhaps poor coaching previously?StevensTechU wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 10:55 amAfter watching film, these are bizarre rankings to me. I will say though, pff disagrees with you. 82.2 pass blocking grade (17th nationally) and 0 sacks allowed in 2024.

Yea it's a complete "I hope I'm wrong" thing. My eyes tell me something that's consistent with how the conference's coaches felt, but like you're saying, PFF thinks pretty well of him and obviously our coaches made him a priority. Evaluating transfers is still fairly new to me, but of the players I've watched, I would take the Minnesota tackle who is going to Ohio State and the Montana tackle who is going to Michigan State over World based on age and what can be observed in game tape.UOducksTK1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 12:00 pmOn3 isn't far different either, #8 nationally (#1 OT). Re: Ducks Transfer Portal - 2024-25
Well I would certainly love if World, Pregnon, and Harkey weren't all seniors. That's something not considered in rankings, so you could argue guys like Phillip Daniels, Ethan Onianwa, and Conner Moore are better pickups by OSU/MSU because they'll have 2-3 years of eligibility.
If World and Pregnon can hit the ground running and mesh with the rest of the OL by opening day, our OL should be steady.

You might be right. But Schwartz sure seems all in on him after watching his filmStevensTechU wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 12:28 pmYea it's a complete "I hope I'm wrong" thing. Re: Ducks Transfer Portal - 2024-25
Oregon has added Ole Miss STAR/nickel Jadon Canady. He used to play at Tulane for Coach Chris Hampton so that's likely what brought him here.

This is one of those where I don't like what it says about what we're developing.
Edit: I shouldn't assume he's being added to be a starter.

Re: Ducks Transfer Portal - 2024-25
Wonder if this is them getting another serviceable player at nickel in case Daylen Austin's case doesn't go well. Even with his addition, Oregon is only at 83 scholarship players so they have space to add more in the spring.StevensTechU wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 6:08 pm This is one of those where I don't like what it says about what we're developing.
